Rob — I agree diet makes a difference. The #1 difference for me results when I cut alcohol from my diet. I’m currently on a dry January (actually a Whole30) and notice that my mind is clearer and less monkey-like in the morning. After a night of drinking even 2–3 drinks I notice the difference in the morning.
